We live in a world where instant gratification has become a part of everyday life. And while we, at Macht, endeavour to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, our priority is to deliver a product of impeccable quality.
At some times we might have a large quantity of orders to fill, and during those times it may take just a smidge longer to get an order from our hands to yours. However, we like to keep our customers in the loop and will always keep them updated on the status of their purchase, especially if there's a delay.
Made to Order
Unless otherwise noted, all of our products (currently we only have a belt range) are made to order. Please keep in mind that this means it usually takes around 2-4 weeks for a customer to receive their purchase. Of course, we always strive to deliver promptly and timely. There may be times when an order is fulfilled before the 2-week mark and at other times it's closer to 4 weeks.
All we require is your patience during this process so that we can deliver a product of faultless quality.
How it Works
Once we receive confirmation of your purchase, the process of creation begins!
The details of your order will be written down on a fulfillment sheet. Remember, we fulfill purchases for individuals, not order numbers. Once our craftsman has all the details, he'll begin with the process.
He starts by inspecting the leather first. If it's not good enough to be worn by royalty, it's not good enough to be worn at all. Once he is satisfied with the quality and grain of the leather, he'll begin making measurements.
Once measured, the leather can be carefully cut according to the shape and size that is required for the product being made. We like to use both rivets and ultra-strong braided thread for the construction of our products. Sometimes we'll just use one, and other times we'll use both materials.
As far as sewing is concerned, everything is done by hand using a traditional saddle stitch. This method of bonding results in a super-strong welt but takes quite a bit of time to do -- especially laptop bags and briefcases.
As soon as a product has been made and given the seal of approval, it is packaged in a protective cotton drawstring bag, boxed up and sent off. At this point you will receive an update informing you that your purchase is on its way!

We take extra care to use only the highest quality materials for the production of our products. This is everything from leather to thread. For us, quality is a must.
